Packing Checklist

All gear should be in a large strong bag and every item clearly marked with Cubs name and Unit number.  Cubs will be getting dirty, wet and muddy, so old clothes are advisable. Check the weather map on the previous night’s news and pack accordingly.

Note: No electronic games, radios, mobile phones, spending money or lollies

Clothing

  • Jeans/Long Pants/Tracksuit/Shorts (Depending on the weather) x 4
  • T-shirts x 4
  • Long sleeve shirt x 1
  • Warm Jumper/Top x 2
  • Socks  x 6 pair
  • Underclothes x 4
  • Sleep wear* x 2
  • Shoes/Runners/Gum Boots (Depending on the weather) x 2
  • Raincoat/Warm waterproof jacket x 1
  • Sun hat x 1
  • Thongs – for showers x 1

Toiletries / Personal Items

  • Towels (Medium Size) x 2
  • Soap x 1
  • Toothbrush x 1
  • Toothpaste x 1
  • Comb/Hair Brush x 1
  • Handkerchief or Travel Pack Size Tissues x 4
  • Sunscreen 15+ x 1
  • Insect Repellent x 1
  • Waterproof bag for above x 1 

Sleeping Gear

  • Good quality warm sleeping bag with Inner sheet or Liner* x 1
  • Warm blanket x 1
  • Pillow x 1
  • Air bed, sleeping mat or Camp Stretcher x 1
  • Teddy/Soft Toy x 1

Daily Bag (Meal Gear) Unbreakables

  • Plate (Dinner Size) Bowl, Cup  x 1
  • Knife, Fork, Spoon x 1
  • Tea Towel x 2

Other Gear

  • Torch with Extra batteries x 1
  • Garbage bag for dirty clothes x 2
  • Coat hanger for Uniform and Plastic suit bag for storing x 1
  • Disposable camera (Optional) x 1
  • Small back pack for day use x 1 

Notes

  • If a bed wetter, please supply an extra sleeping bag, extra sleep wear and 4 pairs of Huggies, night time Pull Ups or similar.
  • You may pack other items, BUT REMEMBER, your Cub Scout will need to move the bag over some distance.
